Hubei International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Base of Manufacturing Intelligence and Information Processing was approved by the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology in 2014, mainly relying on the School of Information Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering and the construction of optical fiber Center of Wuhan University of Technology.

    The main research fields include information science and manufacturing engineering. The research directions include: (1) state intelligent perception of manufacturing systems and equipment; (2) Manufacturing resource sharing and collaboration based on swarm agents; (3) Dynamic intelligent optimization of manufacturing services based on big data; (4) Intelligent equipment and intelligent information processing. Each research direction has foreign cooperation units to carry out joint research work, equipped with special researchers, and set up corresponding research rooms. The above advantageous research directions are formed by the cooperation base construction units and foreign cooperation units through years of exchanges and cooperation, combined with their own scientific research advantages and characteristics, through cooperative division of labor, technical complementarity and personnel allocation arrangement. The main cooperation units include: University of Leeds, University of Birmingham, University of Auckland, University of New Zealand, Royal Institute of Technology of Sweden, National University of Singapore, etc.
