From August 26 to 30, 2023, the 19th IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE 2023) was held in Auckland, New Zealand, with experts and scholars from many countries and regions participating in the conference. The theme of the conference was Automation for a Resilient Society, including human-centered automation, automation in the field of life sciences and other topics. The conference chairman was Professor Xu Xun from the University of Auckland. In the plenary session, Professor Barbara Hanmmer gave a speech, describing her research achievements in the direction of artificial intelligence. Later, Professor Mike Duke also described his research on automation technology.
